| description: | Shadow is a futuristic combat based game that features experience points and leveling up while combing a player's ability to role-play and develop characters. It isn't based on any movies or games, which gives the player, you, freedom to experience the game how you want. When we say futuristic, we mean thousands of years in the future The theme is similar to cyberpunk: science fiction in a dystopian futuristic setting that tends to focus on a combination of lowlife and high tech. Don't get scared by this, though: As you play, your character will create new threads in this story; you can't really mess things up, and if you think you did, there are plenty of people who can help. If you're unsure about something you see roleplayed, though, ask a more experienced player such as a Mentor (the list of those is accessible via the @teams 4 command), who are players and administrators trained in helping new players, or a member of the RP Staff (the list of those is accessible via the @teams 2 command), who are administrators who help decide the contours of the In Character universe. It is important to note the difference between Player and Character. Player is the real life person. YOU. The person who is controlling the character. Characters are fictional that the player creates and uses to play the game or role play. Anything in an IC (in character) status is the character, and everything outside of an IC status is the player. |
